Currents won the best Croatian short in Split

The main jury Jasna Zastavnikovic, Filip Tot and Mia Melcher, awarded the Grand Prix of the 28th Croatian Film Days to Restart's documentary 'Srbenka', directed by Nebojša Slijepčević, with the explanation: "The film Srbenka has dominated this year's competition of Croatian Film Days with its concise and sovereign film language, which unmistakably introduces the viewer into one of the most painful topics of recent Croatian history". 'Srbenka' has also won the Award for the Best Editing, as well as the Oktavijan Award for Best Documentary Film awarded by Croatian Film Critics Association. The jury for ethics and human rights, Mladen Maloča, Laila Šprajc and Marin Ilej gave special mention to another Restart's documentary 'Days of Madness' by Damian Nenadić.
Restart's feature documentary film "Srbenka" by Nebojša Slijepčević will have its TV premiere at HBO, making it the first Croatian documentary film to be screened in their program. The film will premiere on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 21:25 in the HBO program, but is is also available on the HBO GO online platform.
Eight films produced by Restart were selected in the documentary competition of the 28th Croatian Film Days that is happening on several locations in the City of Zagreb. In the competition for the jury awards as well as an award of the Croatian Association of Film Critics 'Oktavijan' are 'Srbenka' by Nebojša Slijepčević, 'Days of Madness' by Damian Nenadić, 'Currents' by Katerina Duda as well as five films made at the Restart's School of Documentary Film 2017./2018., 'September 3rd, 2015' by Sara Jurinčić, 'The Place I'm writing you Letters from' by Nikolina Bogdanović, 'Remiza' by Aron Kovačić, 'How is Tanja left Alone' by Mia Sidorov and 'Farewell' by Ivana Emily Škoro.
The Ministry of Culture has announced the names of the winners of the Vladimir Nazor Award, the highest state awards in the field of culture and art, which is awarded for the best artistic achievements in the categories of annual awards and awards for life work. We are especially proud that director Nebojša Slijepčević received the annual award for film art for the feature documentary film "Srbenka", produced by Restart.
The school of documentary film is taking place in Zagreb once a year and it is conceived as an intensive programme held by international tutors as well as those from Restart. They will be teaching the participants about basic and advanced skills needed to make their own documentary film.
