My Life Without Air awarded in Palm Springs and Berlin

'My Life Without Air' by Bojana Burnać celebrated at two international film festivals. On the 7th edition of the American Documentary Film Festival (Palm Springs, USA), the film was awarded as the Best International Feature. Same week, the jury of the Signes de Nuit / Zachen der Nacht Fetival (Berlin, Germany) decided to award it with the Main Award in the Documentary Competition. 'My Life' is at the moment in the theatrical circuit in Croatia, to be followed by cinema distribution in Serbia and Slovenia.

My Life Without Air in Croatian cinemas and at International Festivals

'My Life Without Air' by Bojana Burnać is starting Croatian theatrical distribution on the 27th of March in Visia cinema in Dubrovnik, followed by screenings in the City of Sisak and City of Pula. The director will hold an Q&A after all three screenings accompanied by Ivan Drviš, apnea expert and former trainer of multi awarded diver Goran Čolak. The distribution continues in Zagreb, Rijeka and Kutina in April. The film continues successful international festival life as well. The Serbian premiere will happen at the Belgrade Festival of Short and Documentary Film, followed by an American one in Palm Springs where Bojana will be a guest at the American Documentary Film Festival. German screening of the film is in the competition of International festival Signes de Nuit in Berlin, travelling festival happening also in France, Italy, Portugal, Thailand and Argentina. April tour will finish in the competition of prominent Let's CEE Film Festival in Wien, Austria.

Masterclass Jean-Gabriel Périot -

Restart and Dokukino, in collaboration with the French institute in Croatia, present a Masterclass "Missing link" by the French director and editor Jean-Gabriel Périot. The event will take place on Friday March 23rd, starting at 7 P.M. in the Müller cinema of Kino Europa in Zagreb.
On Saturday, March 24th at 7 P.M. we will screen a selection of Périot's short masterworks, which were shown at the biggest and best known festival venues around the world, from Berlin and Venice to Amsterdam or Rotterdam including hundreds of others. The films were selected by Igor Bezinović and the author will be present for Q&A.

Enterance to the Masterclass is free. The tickets for the screening are sold at the cinema ticket office.

Srbenka to be premiered at Visions du Reel

Our brand new feature documentary 'Srbenka' by Nebojša Slijepčević will be premiered in the competition of incredible Visions du Reel (Nyon, Schwizerland) in April. The film will have two screenings, on the 17th and 18th accompanied by the director and part of the film crew. All together 17 feature documentaries will be screened in this year's competition. VdR is this year focusing on Serbian documentaries and we are happy that they selected our short experimental doc 'Tiny Bird', made by Serbian director Dane Komljen and produced by Restart and Antibiotik

Special Mentions to Days of Madness and Playing Men at ZagrebDox

At the award ceremony of ZagrebDox, our films received both Special Mentions in the Regional competition. Elizabeth McIntyre (UK), Ralph Eue (Germany) and Ognjen Glavonić (Serbia) as a jury, decided among 17 films, to award 'Days of Madness' by Damian Nenadić (Restart in co-production with Petra Pan Film, Slovenia) and 'Playing Men' by Matjaž Ivanišin (Nosorogi, Slovenia in co-production with Restart). Big Stamp went to 'The Other Side of Everything' by Mila Turajlić. Complete award list with the statements available HERE.
