Production - In production - SRBENKA

2017., feature-length documentary, director and scriptwriter: Nebojša Slijepčević, 70 min.

SRBENKA is a film about peer violence toward children of different nationality in Croatia. SRBENKA examines how the generation born after the war copes with the dark shadows of history. Although the Croatian war ended 20 years ago, for many Croats the noun “Serb” is still the synonym for “the enemy”. Many children of Serbian origin hide their nationality, afraid of the reaction of their classmates. SRBENKA will tell their stories, by following several girls and boys dealing with their traumas.
