Islands of Forgotten Cinemas wins an award at GoEast Film Festival

From April 26th to May 2nd, the 17th goEast International Festival of Central and Eastern European Film presented the wealth and diversity of Central and Eastern European cinematography to Western European audiences. One of the Restart's films won an award at the festival. The International Film Critics' FIPRESCI Award for Best Documentary Film went to Ivan Ramljak's "Islands of Forgotten Cinemas" (KINO OTOK, Restart, Croatia, 2016), which pulls at the heartstrings of cineastes and "with simple means and a minimalist style shows in wonderful manner how the cinema is part of the natural landscape". For more on the festival winners please visit their web site

The school of documentary film

The school of documentary film is taking place in Zagreb once a year and it is conceived as an intensive programme held by international tutors as well as those from Restart. They will be teaching the participants about basic and advanced skills needed to make their own documentary film.
