Oliver Sertić is a media activist, a producer and a journalist from Zagreb. He has published and created for the press, web and radio television. He is one of the founders of Restart. He directed and produced several short and feature documentaries. Currently producing three feature documentaries in different phases of production. Has cooperated with many film festivals such as Zagreb Film Festival, ZagrebDox, Vukovar Film Festival, Dokufest, DORF... as a PR, producer and advizor. He is the director and selector of Liburnia Film Festival, programmer of the Supetar Super Film Festival, also, the associate programmer of the documentary program for Human Rights Film festival. He is the co-founder of the Amateur Film Review – RAF, the Autonomous cultural centre – Attack! and the Cross-radio project.
Vanja Jambrović was born in 1980 in Zagreb, Croatia. In 2005 she graduated philosophy and comparative literature at Faculty for social sciences in Zagreb and in 2011 graduated film production at Academy of drama art, also in Zagreb. Since 2008 she is working in film production as producer at Restart where she acts as one of the key producers. Until now Vanja produced as a delegate producer 4 documentaries (“Gangster of Love” and “Real Man’s Film” by Nebojša Slijepčević, “Don Juans: Excuse me Miss” and “Happy Land” by Goran Dević). Vanja also produced short fiction film “Boxed” by Nebojša Slijepčević. Vanja is also working as coordinator of Restart Laboratory – platform for first time directors and coordinator for educational Masterclass program. Apart from production work Vanja is also working as researcher journalist for Croatian television, scriptwriter and a poet. Her book of poems “Poems for woolen nights” was awarded as the best Croatian book of poetry by young author in 2012.
Ana Hušman, born in Zagreb in 1977. Studied multimedia and art education department graduating in 2002 from the Academy of Fine Arts Zagreb, Croatia. Attended number of Croatian and International festivals and shows. At the moment working on Academy of fine arts department of animated film and new media. For her last works she received many international awards. Her works has been shown at festivals and exhibitions including; Medienturm Gallery, Graz; On the Eastern Front, Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Arts, Budapest; “lucy” bodig & ART ON STAGE, URA, Istanbul, Stuttgarter Filmwinter; International Film Festival Rotterdam, 25 fps, Zagreb; DOK, Leipzig, Deutschland.
Tibor Keser is a producer living and working in Zagreb, Croatia. His areas of interest include film (both fiction and documentary), video and theatre. He's working for Restart as a producer and a production manager. After graduating in economics and business at the University of Zagreb, he enrolled into the Academy of dramatic art in Zagreb. Tibor graduated film and theatre production and is currently a master's degree student at the same school. He was a dancer and a street artist. He actively pursues workshops and festivals, including the 7. Sarajevo Talent Campus in 2013. Tibor is also a board member and a project manager at CIPA - Croatian Independent Professionals Association and is a supporter of all sorts of initiatives ranging from ecology to the arts.
Marko Pejić grew up in a small multiethnic provincial town of Croatia in a bilingual environment. Got his B.A. degree in ethnology and art history from the University of Zagreb where he is currently writhing his master thesis. He spent one year as an exchange student in Prague on the Charles University. Since early student days he is active on the NGO scene through the renowned student NGO KSET and on as member of 4 GRADA DRAGODID. Currently works as administrative officer in 4 GRADA DRAGODID and RESTART.
Ivan Granic has MA in Journalism. Worked at Croatian national broadcast station as video-journalist, and producer. Worked on ECOSMEG – European cosmopolitanism and sites of memory through Europe Project of European union, as an author of mid-length documentary film “Witnesses of our past”. The goal of the project was to deepen and diffuse the knowledge of history, testimonies and memorial sites of persecution of Jews and other victims of Nazi-fascism. The project intended to raise consciousness knowledge and reflection about the historical origin of EU and of its peaceful and democratic values. Participated in several workshops in the field of audio-visual media. Worked at “TV Student” as video-journalist and trainer. From 2016 Ivan Granić works as technical coordinator in Restart.
Nebojša Slijepčević was born in 1973 in Zagreb, Croatia. In 2005 he graduated Film Directing from the Academy of Drama and Art, also in Zagreb. He directed numerous TV documentaries and series (Direkt, City Folk...), but also creative and author driven documentaries (Real Man’s Film, In 4 Years, Of Cows and People) for which he received awards from various festivals. Nebojša is also the author of a short animated film Dog / Rabbit, short fiction Boxed and short fiction Slap in the Face, which is part of the fiction omnibus Zagreb Stories. In 2013. he finished his first feature documentary, international co-production Gangster of Love, coproduced by Restart (Croatia), ZDF/ARTE, Kloos & Co. (Germany) and Subcultura Films (Romania). Film was premiered as opening film of Zagreb Dox 2013 where it won audience award for the best film. International premiere of the film was at Hot Docs 2013 and european premiere at documentary competition of Karlovy Vary FF 2013. Nebojša is also cinematographer and editor on his recent documentary films – Gangster of Love and Real Man's Film. He is one of the main tutors at regular documentary workshops at organization RESTART. He is living and working in Zagreb, Croatia.
Marina Burić was born in 1983 in Sarajevo. She studied at Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb at the department of Information science. She started working in Restart as a technical assistant, but since May 2014 she is working as an assistant in the distribution label – RESTART LABEL. During her many-year membership in Video section of student club KSET, she filmed, produced and acted in around ten short amateur films, she held interviews and edited documentary film „Brucošijada FER-a ponovno u Kotlovnici“. She organized film shooting for the association Domino and Queer Zagreb Festival and she made reports from the festivals Queer Zagreb and Perforacije. Also, she was in charge for direct video transmission (stream) from Zagreb Gay Pride. From 2011 to 2013 she was filming and editing features for the program of the TV channel “Independent Television”. Occasionally she worked as a reporter and did dubbing in commercials and jingles.
Anita Bastašić was born in 1989 in Zagreb, where she enrolled production studies at Academy of Dramatic Art. After completing undergraduate studies she began working in the field of of theatre and performing arts as external associate of the Theater Epicenter and producer at festivals and various projects. In 2013 she started collaborating with Restart as external associate and since 2014 she started working as producer of educational programs and projects. She participates in the development and implementation of permanent programs and a large number of collaborative eu projects with Ana Hušman.
Petra Blašković was born in 1986 in Split. She graduated journalism and PR from Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb in 2010. From 2011 to 2014 she worked as an editor, journalist and TV presenter in the news programme of Independent Television in Zagreb and Television Dalmacija in Split. In 2014 she worked in the office of spokesperson of Pula film festival, and in 2015 she worked as a press office manager at the same festival. In the same period she participated in the production of Zagreb Kom festival, by managing the press office and the festival office of art organization of Zagreb International Chamber Music Festival. In 2015 she was managing the cinema hall of Zagreb Dox and Zagreb Film Festival, as well as guest services and PR office of Brač Film Festival. Since 2015 she has been working in Restart, in the distribution sector.
Sanja Padjen was born in 1988 in Zagreb, where she is currently a graduate student in journalism at the Faculty of Political Science. After completing undergraduate studies, she began working as a demonstrator at the Television Student. As a cinematographer and editor she participated in many projects, two of which won major awards: Special Rector's Award (direct broadcasting of the 2013 doctoral graduation ceremony to TVS and HRT4) and the Award for the best educational video on BEA Festival of Media Arts in the USA (the show "CRO ID: Who are we? Tko smo mi?", 2012). She has improved her skills in the fields of journalism, cinematography, editing and PR by volunteering and working at several festivals, portals, radio (the Motovun Film Festival, Chamber Music Festival, Index.hr, Radio 101, etc.). In September 2014 she has become the assistant of the Dokukino manager at the RESTART.
Igor Bezinović was born in Rijeka in 1983. He graduated in philosophy and sociology from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb and in Film and TV directing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. He directed short documentaries "Above Average", "Non-Recyclable", "An Encounter", "In fond memory of TDZ", a short fiction film "Naked Hours" and feature length documentary "The Blockade". In Restart Igor works as mentor in School of documentary films and lecturer in different educational programs.
