The Think With Film project is based on a project partnership with educational institutions in Croatia and civil society organizations with the aim of more active inclusion of non-institutional education in educational processes and a greater role of informal education in supplementing official school curricula.
The program is performed in two parts. The first part consists of screenings of documentary films, analyzes and discussions of valuable and award-winning films, with which we want to educate and empower young people in the areas of personal and social development, solidarity and general human values. At the same time, students learn to think, critically evaluate and analyze the medium of film. The second part of the program includes several modules of multi-day mobile journalism workshops with an emphasis on media literacy. Workshops enable students to better understand media content, critical analysis and participation in the production of media content. Through the creation of their own video content, they make an author’s contribution to the topics they were previously introduced to through the projection of a documentary film, analysis and discussion.
