About the film

In July 2004. Law on Asylum was applied in Croatia. In next 2 years 300 people asked for an asylum in our country but nobody got it until November 2006. Answer why is in this documentary. While we were discovering why Croatian institutions are not ready to cope with integration of immigrants in our society, we followed campaign of Centre for peace studies.

Oliver Sertić is a documentary producer and festival programmer. As producer, co-producer and associate producer he signed more than 50 feature and short documentaries and experimental films screened at more than 400 international film festivals. For 15 years worked as a journalist and editor-in-chief in different media and organizer of cultural events. He is the founder of production company and documentary organisation Restart (2007) where he established its educational department, Dokukino, Restart Laboratory and Restart Label – documentary distribution sector. Has cooperated with numerous film festivals as a PR, programmer, producer and advisor (Zagreb FF, ZagrebDox, DokuFest, Vukovar FF, Makedox, DORF, RAF, Supetar Super FF, Moldox…). He is one of the tutors at School of Documentary Film. From 2007 works as a selector of Liburnia Film Festival in Opatija where from 2012 until 2020 he served as the director. Directed two short documentaries “Croatia E(N)Den on Earth” and “Gay Pride Zagreb 2002”. He is a member of European Film Academy, Croatian Producers Association and Filmmaker Association of Croatia.
