The jury composed by festival programmer Rada Šešić and the directors Ivan Bakrač and Hrvoje Mabić explained the award: 'A film that is impressive in all its aspects; from a refined film approach to a very sensitive human story – which is individual and universal at the same time – to a masterful, realistic master process of directing, excellent film photography, precise editing to the relevance of the issue that this film bravely opens in society, not only where the film is made, but in the whole region. Do we have the power for self-reflection?, this film asks us. What is our future if we hide and manipulate the past? By the strength of the empathy that the film instigates to the audience, this film is telling a story, but it also leaves a huge space for each of us, for our own thoughts. Just the way that real art is and should work.'
The audience, awarded the film 'Days of Madness' with an exceptionally high average score – 4.7 out of 5.
