Restart’s short documentary film „Valerija“ by Sara Jurinčić won its fifth international festival award – special jury mention in the Nordic competition of Minimalen Short Film Festival in Trondheim in Norway. Festival was held between 23rd and 28th of January 2024 and this was its 36th edition. Members of the jury Sarah Dombrink, Kelly Lui and Marit Bakken explained their decision with these words: “This experimental documentary touched us with its carefully crafted images, slowly revealing the intergenerational bonds between women. The haunting, mesmerising mise-en-scene reflects the processing of the circumstances and the rituals of the long line of women in this family in the absence of men“.
