The protagonist is <strong>Nediljko Babi\u0107<\/strong>, a matchmaker who left his profession as a carpenter 25 years ago to start his God-given career &#8211; matching lonely men and women. He became famous very fast thanks to his skills, but also his nickname &#8211; <strong>Gangster<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p> Gangster is an old fashioned matchmaker who believes in importance of personal contact. He meets all his client in person to evaluate them and give them useful advice. And when <strong>Maja<\/strong>, a 35-year-old Bulgarian woman, asks Gangster to help her find a husband, it seem her case is going to be an easy one. But the fact that Maja is a single mother of a three year old and a foreigner makes this case an impossible mission. However lonely the men in Dalmatinska Zagora may be, it seems they don&#39;t want a Bulgarian with a child.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p> &#39;Gangster of Love&#39; had it&#39;s international premiere at the prestigious Canadian festival <strong>Hot Docs<\/strong>, it opened <strong>ZagrebDox 2013<\/strong> and won an<strong> Audience award<\/strong> there. After Zagreb, &#39;Gangster&#39; won audience awards at <strong>Mediteran Film Festival in &Scaron;iroki Brijeg<\/strong> (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and <strong>Dokuart festival in Bjelovar<\/strong> (Croatia), and was awarded a special prize at the <strong>Minsk International Film Festival <\/strong>(Belarus).<\/p>\n<p> The film enters <strong>simultaneous distribution in the Croatian independent cinema network<\/strong> on <strong>Thursday, February 6 of 2014.<\/strong> It will be screened in 30 cities throughout the country, including \u010cakovec, Daruvar, Dubrovnik, \u0110akovo, Gospi\u0107 and Vodice. The protagonist Nediljko Babi\u0107 and director Neboj&scaron;a Slijep\u010devi\u0107 will start a mini promotional tours with a guest appearance in cinema Central in Split on the opening night of the film, February 6. A detailed list of all the cinemas and cities will be available shortly. The distributor of the film is <a href=\"http:\/\/restartlabel.net\/\">Restart Label<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p> &#39;Gangster of Love&#39; was made in the production od <strong>Restart<\/strong>. Co-producers are <strong>Kloos &amp; Co. <\/strong>(Germany), <strong>Subcultura Films<\/strong> (Romania) and <strong>Fade In<\/strong> (Croatia).
