The great news of this year's DOK Leipzig Film Festival is SEED – South East European Documetaries, an initiative started by Restart in collaboration with the Croatian Audiovisual Center and other regional partners: Bulgarian National Film Center, Film Center Serbia, Macedonian Film Fund, Slovenian Film Center, Ministry of Culture of Montenegro and Balkan Documentary Center of Bulgaria. The aim of the initiative is to draw attention to regional co-production potentials, present the latest films to other festival programmers and to incite networking and collaboration between filmmakers within and outside of the region.
The initiative has also prepared a catalogue of films from each participant country which can be downloaded at the following link.
