The documentary-fiction film “Fiume o morte!” by director and screenwriter Igor Bezinović won the Best European Documentary Award at the European Film Awards. Five titles were nominated in the Best Documentary category, and “Fiume o morte!” won, receiving the most votes from the 5,400 members of the European Film Academy. This made “Fiume o morte!” the first Croatian feature film ever to win an award at the European Film Awards.
