Call for applications for 15th edition of School of Documentary Film, generation 2025/2026, closes on September 20th, 2025. School will take place in Zagreb from October 2025 until February 2026 in a form of an intensive program run by various film experts, lecturers and mentors who will teach participants basic and advanced skills in order to make their own documentary film.
Guiding idea for the School is that the medium of film should be available to everyone nowadays. We believe that with the comprehensive approach in transfer of skills and knowledge, it is possible that each participant expresses himself in film-making. Therefore, applicants do not need any previous film experience or familiarity with the technical aspects of film production to attend the program. All that is required is a motivation and a desire to pursue interest in documentary film-making. Applicants should have basic computer skills, access to a computer which can be equipped with editing software and to a camera which can be used for recording (DSLR camera, video camera, mobile phone…).
Lecturers at the School of Documentary Film are: editor Hrvoslava Brkušić, multimedia artist Katerina Duda, photographer and cinematographer Bojan Mrđenović, cinematographer Dinka Radonić, producer Oliver Sertić, director Đuro Gavran, producer Vanja Jambrović, sound recordist Matija Santro, sound designer Luka Gamulin and other guest lecturers.
Complete program will take place in Zagreb according to weekly schedule: Tuesdays from 5 to 9 PM, Fridays from 8 to 10 PM and Saturdays from 11 to 4 PM. Detailed information about the application procedure can be found on the official program website.
