The STEPS project is a joint pilot project of the European Union and of the Council of Europe aimed at building and strengthening communities, promoting solidarity, dialogue and mutual understanding between the various communities through action-based action plans. The pilot project STEPS included cities Rijeka and Lisbon. In this context, the project Pass it on – a cultural heritage and added value representing the five neighboring counties of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County – are part of the project, which are part of the program Rijeka 2020 of the EPK – program line 27 neighborhoods. From 18th to 24th June, Restart participated in the realization of dislocated education together with the Ubiqa from Spain, which has been working on the implementation of social communication development and awareness-raising participatory projects for many years.
An intensive multi-day program was realized by Restart educators Igor Bezinović, Ivan Granić, Vanda Kreutz, Vedran Senjanović and Kristina Macuka in five neighborhoods: the town of Cres, Kastav, Gomirje, Novi Vinodolski and Drenova. The work was based on dialogue, reflection and e-skills with the intent to create content and digital stories using video, photography, sound, and other sources to encourage the development of experiences and raise citizen engagement. The aim was to encourage citizens to participate and promote the creation of content and digital stories through mobile phones as a tool for creating and disseminating to enable citizens to visualize their reality through digital projects and audiovisual and interactive platforms.
