Vanja Jambrović

Vanja Jambrović graduated in comparative literature and philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Science in Zagreb, and in film production at the Academy of Drama Art in Zagreb. As a producer and co-producer, she stands behind many films of all shapes and sizes. The films she produced three times were shortlisted for the European Film Awards (“Fiume o morte!” by Igor Bezinović in 2026, “Valerija” by Sara Jurinčić in 2024 and “Srbenka” by Nebojsa Slijepčević in 2019), and “Fiume o morte!” won as the best European documentary film at the awards in January 2026. The same film also won the Tiger Award and the Fipresci Award at the Rotterdam International Film Festival. Among other awards, the following stand out: three Hearts of Sarajevo at Sarajevo Film Festival for the best documentary film (“Valerija” by Sara Jurinčić in 2024, “Muzej revolucije” by Srđan Keča in 2022, “Srbenka” by Nebojša Slijepčević in 2018) and Doc Allianze award for “Srbenka” awarded by the association of European documentary festivals. Her projects have been financed by various international institutions, including Eurimages and the Sundance Institute. She is employed at Academy of Drama Art in Zagreb, and as a mentor she participated in international workshops: Documentary Campus Masterschool, Eurodoc, Ex Oriente, BDC Discoveries, Eurodoc and Circle Women Doc Accelerator.
