Restart’s new documentary project in development, ‘Cordon‘ by Anton Mezulić, is selected among seven projects of the new edition of the program for the development of feature documentaries from the Balkans, BDC Discoveries. As the Covid measures are still actual, the first session will, instead in Sofia (BG), hold online between 1st and 12th of June 2020. Organizer of the training is a Balkan Documentary Center and lecturers and tutors are Rada Šešić, Martička Božilova, Boris Mitić, Paul Powels, Tonislav Hristov, Ilian Metev, Dimitra Kouzi, Simone Baumann, Melody Gilbert, Carol Dysinger, Mridu Chandra and Alex Pearson. Along with individual meetings with tutors, the program is consisted of special thematic masterclasses, film screenings and Q&A’s. BDC Discoveries are organised in three sessions with the final pitching forum. If the measures would allow it, second and third one will happen in Prizren (Kosovo) in August and Leipzig (Germany) in Ocotber. The project is developed by the director Anton Mezulić and executive producer Suzana Erbežnik.
