At the final screening on Friday, April 17th starting at 7 p.m. in Dokukino KIC, we will premiere the films of the participants of the 15th Documentary Film School. The participants went through the School’s intensive program from October 2025 to April 2026. After learning the skills of making a creative documentary film, they had the opportunity to apply what they had learned by making their own original film under the mentorship of Hrvoslava Brkušić, Katerina Duda, Đuro Gavran, Eva Kraljević, Bojan Mrđenović, Filip Peruzović, Dinka Radonić and Oliver Sertić.
In addition to mentors and lecturers, participants learned about film from domestic and foreign documentarians and other film professionals: directors Johan Grimonprez, Damian Nenadić, Nebojša Slijepčević, Sunčica Ana Veldić and Tea Vidović Dalipi, editor Jelena Maksimović, sound designer Luka Gamulin and Vladimir Rakić, sound recordist Matija Santro, producer Vanja Jambrović, and technical manager Franko Dujmić.
The participants of the 15th edition of the School were: Antea Divić, Ivan Dovranić, Leon Keglević, Mia Jukić, Iva Kunac, Mariana Lopez Bodart, Dorian Milović, Nina Rac, Dina Uglešić and Teodora Vulović.
The documentary film school is based on the idea that the film medium is available to everyone today and that everyone can express themselves in the language of film, and year after year it teaches its students the basic and advanced skills needed to shoot their own documentary film, and has proven to be an important training ground new film authors.
The program is financed by the funds of the Croatian Audiovisual Center, the City of Zagreb – City Office for Education, Culture and Sports, the Society of Croatian Film Authors and Producers, the Kultura Nova Foundation and the National Foundation for Civil Society Development.
