Among 18 films screened in the competition of the 16th Liburnia Film Festival, festival of Croatian documentary film, the jury Hanka Kastelicova, Sandra Bastašić, Matjaž Ivanišin, Boris Ružić and Dean Lalić decided the winners. Best film of 16th LFF is 'Meat' by Elvis Lenić (production: Kinematograf), who also took an award for the best regional film. Special mention went to 'Momsy' by Josip Lukić produced by Academy of Dramatic Art. Best director is Lovro Mrđen and best editor Helena Kanini Kiiru (both for their work on 'Patrol Uranus'). Joško Morović is the best cinematographer ('Times of Great Depression' by Vladimir Gojun), while Martin Semenčić took an award for best sound design in the film 'Meat'. The audience was happiest with the mid-length film by Vlatka Vorkapić 'Our Daily Water' (Fade In). Aside the financial and educational awards given by the festival and its partners, Balkan Documentary Center and Institute of Documentary Film, Restart joined to the awards with technical services to the producers.
