The new film by one of the most distinctive Croatian filmmakers, Igor Bezinović, the documentary-fiction film “Fiume o morte!”, produced by Restart, has been included in the prestigious main competition program of the International Film Festival in Rotterdam.
“Fiume o morte!” is a film like no other that has never been made in the history of Croatian cinema before, and which, through a highly innovative style, speaks about a fascinating historical episode unknown to the general public. Namely, “Fiume o morte!” focuses on the historical event in which the Italian poet and advocate of war Gabriele D’Annunzio occupied the city of Rijeka about a hundred years ago. The film will be released in cinemas across Croatia in mid-February, distributed by Restart Label, and the Croatian premiere will be held in the city Rijeka. The film was produced by Restart, produced by Vanja Jambrović and Tibor Keser, in co-production with Nosorogi from Slovenia (co-producer is Marina Gumzi) and Videomante from Italy (co-producer is Erica Barbiani).
Restart will have another feature film premiering in the Tiger Competition of IFFR 2025 – a minority co-production, hybrid film “Wind, Talk to Me” by Stefan Đorđević, a co-production of Serbia (Non-Aligned Films), Slovenia (Spok Films) and Croatia (Restart).
