The mid-length documentary “Learning to Walk 2” by Jelena Novaković will have a world premiere in the ‘Fireworks’ selection at the 18th edition of the Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival in Belgrade. For five years, the film’s director has regularly visited the home of the great animator and caricaturist, Borivoj Dovniković Bordo and recorded almost 40 hours of testimonies of the life of an artist who lived through four important political epochs (Kingdom of Yugoslavia, Independent State of Croatia, Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia, and finally Republic of Croatia), and each of them influenced him greatly. Along with sociopolitical changes, he also followed the development of technology in animation, of which Bordo is the best witness. The festival takes place from May 21 to May 27, 2025, and the official premiere at Kinoteka in Kosovska Street (Old Cinemateque) will be attended by most of the film team. In addition to the director and screenwriter Jelena Novaković, co-screenwriter Drago Kekanović, producer Oliver Sertić, editor Marija Kovačina, sound designers Miloš Drndarević and Vladimir Živković, author of graphics Csaba Polgar and associated co-producer Iva Plemić Divjak will be bowed to the audience.
