One of the leading French documentary film festivals, FIPADOC, is taking place this year from January 24 to February 1 in Biarritz in the French Basque Country. We are particularly pleased to emphasize that this year’s thematic focus is on the Balkan countries, which brings an increased number of Croatian films to the program and projects in the industry section of the festival. The film “I Didn’t Stop the Entire Day” by Klara Berdais, created during last year’s School of Documentary Film, will have its international premiere in the student films competition, New Talent, while “Snajka: Diary of Expectations” by Tea Vidović Dalipi and our co-production title “Wishing on a Star” by Peter Kerekes found its place in the special Balkan Focus section. In the industrial part of the festival, European First Film Pitches brings six debut projects, among which is “Cordon”, presented by director Anton Mezulić, producer Oliver Sertić, and French co-producer Victor Ede. Restart’s co-production, “Yugo Goes to America” by Filip Grujić and Aleksa Borković, has been selected in the International Pitches, central pitching forum of the festival. The producer is Čarna Vučinić for Serbian company Naked, and Vanja Jambrović the co-producer for Restart.
