The fifteenth edition of Liburnia Film Festival, festival of Croatian documentary films, co-organized by Restart, just finished with an award ceremony at the Summer Stage Opatija. In five days, from 21st till 25th of August, 33 Croatian documentaries were screened, 22 of those in the competition for seven festival awards. The festival hosted four workshops, among others, two organized by Restart, First Steps in Filmmaking (HR) and our new educational program Think Film (HR). A jury members Jelena Maksimović, Eva Kraljević, Veton Nurkollari, Vasja Bibič and Igor Bezinović decided about the winners. The Best Film of the 15th LFF is 'Blink' by Jakov Labrović (produced by Room 100), while Special Mention went to 'The Factory is Ours!' by Vedrana Pribačić (Manevar, HRT), that also won the Audience Award (4,69 / 5). The Best Regional Film is short documentary 'Nonna' by Mario Pućić from Rijeka (produced by Dinaridi Film). Goran Dević is the best director ('The Steel Mill Caffe'), Boris Poljak the best cinematographer ('They Just Come and Go'), Dario Bagarić an editor ('Kika'), and Tomislav Domes the best sound designer ('Almost Nothing'). The last day was reserved for films produced by Restart, out of competition, 'My Life Without Air' by Bojana Burnać, co-production 'My World is Upside Down' by Petra Seliškar and two films made in the last Restart's School of Documentary Film, 'All Good Things' by Jasmina Beširević and 'Good Hunting' by Maja Alibegović.
