In cooperation with this years 12th Zagreb Film Festival (ZFF), Restart is organizing masterclasses by César Charlone and Jørgen Leth in Dokukino KIC, the documentary cinema in Zagreb (Preradovićeva 5).
On Wednesday, October 22nd at 18.00, the Uruguayan-Brazilian director of photography and Oscar candidate, César Charlone (City of God, The Constant Gardener, Blindness, Stranded, The Pope's Toilet), will speak about his experience in the making of extraordinary moving pictures for Fernand Meirelles, Spike Lee, Tony Scott, his grandfather and his father… You can read more about the masterclass on the ZFF website.
On Thursday, October 23rd, also at 18.00, Jørgen Leth, well known Danish director, poet, sports commentator and one of the leading authors in experimental documentary film, will have his masterclass. His film The Perfect Human from 1967 has been made into a part of The Five Obstructions – the 2003 film by Leth and Lars von Trier. Read more about the masterclass here.
