Dina Pokrajac

Dina Pokrajac was born in 1986 in Zagreb. She graduated in journalism and political science at the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb, currently a PhD student at the postgraduate study of ethnology and cultural anthropology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. Since 2019 she has been employed at Restart as the manager of Dokukino KIC. She is the director of the Subversive Film Festival and the coordinator of the Film Mutations: Invisible Film Festival program. Collaborator on a number of interdisciplinary projects with an emphasis on film and critical theory. From 2017 to 2019 she worked at cinema Europa as a public relations manager, and before that as the head of Greta Gallery and project organizer at KIC. Her film reviews and essays have been published in the journals Hrvatski filmski ljetopis, Filmonaut, 15 dana, Tvrđa and Zarez, in the show Filmoskop on the Third Program of Croatian Radio and on the web portals Kulturpunkt.hr, Doumentarni.net and Desistfilm. Winner of the Vladimir Vuković Award for the best new film critic in 2017. Member of the jury at the Berlinale Forum, Art Film Festival Košice, Dubrovnik Film Festival, Liburnia Film Festival, 25FPS Festival, Ljubljana International Film Festival and Venice Film Festival. Participant in Sarajevo Talents in 2020 and Berlinale Talents in 2021. Editor of the following film books – Raymond Bellour: L’entreimagesPhoto, cinéma, vidéo; Duras / Godard: Dialogues; Jean Epstein: The Intelligence of a Machine and Other Essays; Edgar Morin: The Cinema, or, The Imaginary Man; and translator of Laura Mulvey’ book Afterimages: On Cinema, Women and Changing Times.
