Our feature documentary project, currently in the phase of production, “Rear Admiral” by Mladen Ivanović, produced by Restart and Montenegrian Artikulacija Film, was successfully presented at the Beldocs Pitching Forum (23.-25.5.2024), among 10 other projects from central and eastern Europe. The project was pitched by the director Ivanović and producer Oliver Sertić in front of 50 international documentary industry guests, mostly festival programmers, sales agents, and commissioning editors. An industry program is happening during international festival of documentary film Beldocs in Beograde, Serbia. At the same time, the “Rear Admiral” was part of the first session of the international program for the development of creative documentaries, BDC Discoveries (22. – 25.5.2024), happening also in Belgrade. The four-day program is full of group and individual mentoring sessions in which industry professionals Rada Šešić, Boris Mitić, Kumjana Novakova, Martička Božilova, Ieva Ubele, Dimitra Kouzi and Veronica Lewandowska are helping us to fine-tune our project, on the creative and financial sides. The film team is presented by the director and production manager, Zrinka Košar. BDC Discoveries is organised by the Balkan Documentary Center in Sofia, Bulgaria, where the second session and final pitching will occur at the beginning of October.
