Sarajevo Film Festival is this year especially fruitful for our films. In different programs, the festival will screen our two productions and four co-productions. A short documentary, “Valerija” by Sara Jurinčić produced by Restart Laboratory and Studio Nomad, was selected for the documentary competition, where it will have its regional premiere. An international premiere, after the recent world premiere at DokuFest in Prizren (Kosovo), will have “Snajka: Diary of Expectations” by Tea Vidović Dalipi (Restart in co-production with Italian Stefilm, Al Jazeera Balkans, and Kosovo company Möbius), as a part of the Human Rights Day program. After the screening, the festival is organizing a special discussion named “Navigating Expectations: The Road to Understanding Discrimination and Cultural Differences“. The documentary competition is filled in by our three fresh co-productions. The world premiere will have “Fairy Garden” by Hungarian director Gergő Samogyvári (New Rettina Film in co-production with Romanian Avanpost, Hungarian Campfilm and Restart), the Bosnian and Herzegovinian premiere “Between Rev0lutions” by Vlad Petri (Romanian ActivDocs in co-production with Restart), and the regional, film “Non-Aligned: Scenes from the Labudović Reels” by Mila Turajlić (Serbian Poppy Seeds and French Survivance in co-production with Restart and Montenegrian Kino). The second part of Mila’s dyptich “Cine-Guerrilas: Scenes from the Labudović Reels” will be screened as a part of the program Dealing with the Past.
